More venues and offers are expected to be added in the run-up to the two-week event

Leicester Restaurant Week is set to return to the city with a range of ‘fantastic’ offers for food lovers to enjoy.

Now entering its sixth year, the event has become one of the highlights of Leicester’s food and drink calendar – providing an opportunity for people to explore a variety of flavours within the city centre.

Whether diners are curious to try somewhere new or revisit an old favourite, the two-week event will showcase independent locations, much-loved chains and established favourites with brunch, lunch or an evening meal on offer.

According to organisers, Indian restaurant Chutney Ivy will have 50 percent off its à carte menu while old-school real ale pub, The Globe, will offer families the chance to dine for less – with up to two children able to eat for £5 each with one paying adult.

Italian eatery, Casa Romana, will be offering two courses and a drink for £25 and pizza restaurant, Dough What, will be serving a special ‘Monster Pizza Pit-Stop’ family deal. My Delhi, which serves Indian cuisine, will have a £15 lunch experience.

The O.W at The Grand Hotel will offer 30 percent off its entire menu, including drinks, and is taking part in Leicester Restaurant Week for the first time.

Also making its debut at the event is Grays Coffee Shop & Kitchen, which will serve a beer and a burger for £15.

With 30 venues and 38 deals already confirmed, organisers BID Leicester (Business Improvement District) said more restaurants and offers were expected to be added in the run-up to the event.

“Extending the event to two weeks has given people even more opportunity to get involved, whether that means discovering somewhere they’ve never tried before or going back to a restaurant they already love.

“With 30 venues already signed up and more to come, there’s a fantastic range of offers taking shape across the city.

“We want to encourage people to make a trip into Leicester, try something different, support our restaurants and enjoy everything the city has to offer.”

Applications are still open for businesses to take part – if you’re a restaurateur or business owner in the city centre or BID area who would like to get involved in Leicester Restaurant Week, you can email info@bidleicester.co.uk

The event will take place from Monday, October 19, to Sunday, November 1.
