Noel Gallagher green lights Oasis 2027 tour with cryptic confirmation in new interview

Noel Gallagher was speaking on TalkSport about his beloved Manchester City but couldnt resist a subtle nod to Oasis going back on the road next year

Noel Gallagher has given a cryptic confirmation that Oasis will tour again in 2027 – admitting he wants to go back on the road in the summer next year. The Oasis guitarist and songwriter called into TalkSport to talk about his beloved Manchester City today.

But ending the chat, his pal Andy Goldstein asked a question about rumours of an Oasis 2027 tour, which the Mirror has previously reported. He told Noel that Liam had come off social media after being bombarded with fans questions about the tour.

Noel replied with a laugh: “Oh well, then there must be something happening. There must be something happening.” He added: “Well, let’s put it this way: there’s no football tournament on next year, so we’ve got to do summer in the summer, right?”

Goldstein replied: “That is all we need.” Noel seemingly confirming an imminent official announcement follows on from a number of comments from Liam on X which point to an Oasis tour in 2027.

Sources have also confirmed to the Mirror a number of dates will be announced for Oasis to play Manchester City’s Etihad stadium in June 2027 before returning to Knebworth the scene of their biggest ever gigs, later in the year and likely in September. The promoter of the Oasis 2025 reunion tour has already secured a licence to host events at Knebworth.

Last month when directly asked about our original 12 nights at the Etihad story, frontman Liam responded to a fan to say: “12 I thought it was 10 ffs”.

As another fan said on X they were desperate for the dates to be announced, Liam replied: “You are not the boss we will announce when the time is righteous.” Liam then announced a break from ‘X’ which is thought to be linked to the impending tour announcement.

The Mirror understands the dates and ticket details will be announced later this month, but tour bosses are waiting until after the premiere of the Oasis documentary Don’t Look Back In Anger. It is being shown at the Venice Film Festival this weekend before getting a London Premiere on Monday September 7.

Speaking on TalkSport Noel also told Goldstein and co-host Darren Bent he had already seen the documentary and may try to avoid watching the whole thing again in Venice as there is a lot of emotion on screen.

He said: “I’m off to off to Venice this weekend for the premiere. I have seen it yeah. I won’t be sitting through it again. Let’s put it that way. There’s a lot of people crying in it…because we were so brilliant.

“And at the end of it, I was knackered watching it. It’s too much.” The film follows the incredible reunion tour of 2025.

The Oasis reunion tour was announced in August 2024, 15 years after their dramatic split in 2009, which was prompted by a backstage brawl between Noel and brother Liam at the Rock en Seine festival in France.

The band, loved by millions around the world, have had eight number one singles and albums each in the UK charts, with Wonderwall, Champagne Supernova and Some Might Say among their most well-known hits.

Noel used his appearance on TalkSport to praise Man City bosses for the new signings they have made, including controversial midfielder Endo Fernandez. Noel said he “liked his vibe” and thought he would give some added bite into the midfield for City.
