Canadian group PISS will release their debut album ‘you made me / skin on linen’ this October.
The band hail from the ultra-creative Vancouver underground community, merging noise with surreal lyrical word play and a dose of outsider pop music.
Working with Sub Pop – and Paper Bag Records in Canada – debut album ‘you made me / skin on linen’ lands this Autumn.
Out on October 30th, PISS will dribble new songs into their upcoming shows in Margate, at Brighton Psych Fest, and a visit to End Of The Road Festival.
Taken from the album, new song ‘time loop at hot slit’ has a deliriously infectious appeal, an extra-dimensional pop song with DIY messthetics.
Th official video was co-directed by PISS front-person Taylor Zantingh and Vivyen Sagsen, and it was filmed at the now-closed-down DIY space, Take Yr Time Back in Vancouver, BC.
Taylor Zantingh shares: “Some of the people with whom I shared the earliest version of “time loop at hot slit” take the stage to sing it themselves. Our local scene has been singing this song with us for two years!! It’s very exciting to finally share it with the world, but no matter where it ends up, it will always belong to the femmes, queers, and weirdos in the Vancouver underground community <3”.
