Walkers describes the Salt and Pepper Chicken crisps as being inspired by the beloved takeaway classic, blending garlic, spring onion, black pepper and fragrant Chinese-style seasonings.

The crisps emerged following the brand’s successful Do Us A Flavour campaign, which saw two fortunate winners have their crisp flavour ideas brought to life. Alongside the Salt and Pepper Chicken option, the Grilled Cheese and Chilli Jam flavour combines the indulgent taste of melted cheese with a sweet and spicy chilli jam kick, and is now available in shops.

Enthusiasts were equally thrilled about this variety, with one commenting: “You can tasted the grilled cheese and the mild chilli flavour.”

The new flavours have clearly struck a chord with shoppers, who flocked to social media to tag friends and share their reactions in the comments section.

Another enthusiastic reviewer declared: “I can definitely recommend these! They taste superb!”.

The launch follows recent revelations that left consumers puzzled about why Walkers crisps are marketed as Lays in most other countries around the world, with one of the variants coming before the other.
