Director Chandra Siddharth is known for making films with unconventional themes and emotional depth. He has carved a niche for himself with films such as “Aa Naluguru”, “Madhumasam”, “Andari Bandhuvaya”, “Idi Sangathi” and “Aatagadharaa Siva”. His latest directorial venture has an unusually long title: “Ee Paata Korinavaaru Nemalipalem Nundi Rama, Jyotsna, Nandu, Murali, Kabir, Dhol Ravi Modalaguvaru”.
The film carries the subtitle “A Forbidden Raga from a Forbidden Saga”. The makers claim that the title is now the longest-ever movie title in Telugu cinema.
Produced by Chandra Siddharth under the Filmotsav banner, the film is based on a story by noted filmmaker and writer Madan. Harsha makes his debut as the lead actor, while Ammayra Goswami, Sujana Reddy, Inaya Sultana, Ravi Varma, Anirudh Srivastav, Ashokvardhan, Rekha Nirosha, Sunny, Giri and others play key roles. The film is slated for release on September 18.
The film is described as a neuroscientific thriller and the first-ever “mystery musical”. It explores the connection between sound, music and the human brain, incorporating elements such as sound therapy, brain mapping, memories and guilt into a mystery-driven narrative.
Explaining the unusual title and the story, Chandra Siddharth said, “This is the longest title in the history of Indian cinema. Every night, exactly at 10:30 p.m., the same song is broadcast from a radio station. Rama, Jyotsna, Nandu, Murali, Kabir, Dhol Ravi and others from Nemalipalem keep requesting this song. The village of Nemalipalem no longer exists, which is why we chose this title for the film.”
