Aussie campus-set whodunnit starring Lydia West

A blackly comic mystery series set at an Australian college, where Lydia West (Big Mood) stars as the nerdy scholarship student getting an education in fighting the patriarchy, while solving a murder at the same time.
The mutilated body of a college jock, and known bully, is found the morning after West’s Elise and her new friend, Barbara (Ahsoka’s Natasha Liu Bordizzo) had a messy night out. They need to cover their own tracks, after vandalising the statue where the body was found, while local cop Ivy (Yellowjackets’ Liv Hewson) also investigates the murder.
It’s a show that turns up the dial on those microaggressions that women usually brush off, from unwanted advances to patronising mansplaining, while giving the core trio plenty to chew on in a bright and breezy battle of the sexes. It might rile-up the manosphere, but perhaps that means they don’t get the joke. (Eight episodes)
