In a dream reunion for millennial TV fans, the cast of Tracy Beaker have come together again – and the pictures of the event are sending fans on a trip down memory lane.
Dani Harmer shared the snaps from this weekend’s Bournemouth Comic-Con on her Instagram, which showed her reunited with familiar faces like Nisha Nayar, who starred as social worker Elaine ‘The Pain’ Boyak, and Montanna Thompson, who played Tracy’s rival Justine Littlewood.
They were joined by Lisa Coleman, who played Tracy’s adoptive mother Cam, and Chelsie Padley, who played Tracy’s former best friend Louise on the show.
Harmer captioned the post: “This isn’t friendship! This is family.”
Having aired from 2002 to 2005, The Story of Tracy Beaker was based on the Jacqueline Wilson book of the same name and centred on brash but misunderstood character Tracy (Harmer) as she navigated life in care.
Of course, the world of Tracy Beaker has spawned spin-offs like The Dumping Ground, but the original became one of CBBC’s most popular and repeated programmes, with episodes still airing on TV to this day.

So, it’s safe to say that this reunion has gone down well with fans, and plenty flocked to Harmer’s comments to express their joy.
One user wrote: “This brought back so many memories,” while another said: “Oh don’t I feel old now! I still go back and love watching the episodes it’s my happy comfort place.”
Another fan wrote: “Love this so much. A group of people who changed 90s and noughties children forever.”
Harmer reprised her role as Tracy Beaker more recently in My Mum Tracy Beaker, which aired in 2021 and followed Tracy and her daughter Jess as they tried to make ends meet financially.
Although quite a different tone to the original show, fans still appreciated the way it captured a close and loving bond that Tracy originally missed out on with her own mum.
