Jason Momoa is a big fan of Birmingham but this time he will be on stage and not in the mosh pit.

Hollywood star Jason Momoa is set to play a gig at Birmingham O2 Institute in Digbeth, just over a year since he threw himself into the mosh pit at Ozzy Osbourne’s final performance.
The star of Aquaman and Game of Thrones was in Birmingham last July to host Back To The Beginning, introducing stars like Black Sabbath and Metallica and joining Brummies in the crowd for a performance by Pantera.
While the actor has been back to Birmingham since – to introduce his alcohol brand Meili Vodka – Momoa will this time be performing in his band, Öof Tatatá.

One of just two UK gigs, Öof Tatatá will play at the O2 Institute on Wednesday, September 30.
The O2 Institute is on Digbeth’s High Street and has a capacity of 1,500 in the main room, meaning fans will get pretty close to the performer.
Momoa plays bass in the band alongside guitarist and vocalist Mike Hayes and drummer Kenny Dale Borill.
The night before the Birmingham show, they will be in London for a performance at Dingwalls in Camden.
Öof Tatatá is said to be for fans of Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Metallica, The Stooges and Jimi Hendrix.
Birmingham company Spirits of Anarchy is the distributor of Momoa’s vodka in the UK and founder Faheem Badur said: “The last time Jason stood on a stage in this city, he was introducing Black Sabbath for the final time.
“Bringing him back to Birmingham with his own band, in a room that size, is the most honest thing we could have done with this brand.
“We are a Birmingham company. This one means something to us.”
