Søstrene Grene will be closing on September 13
A shop in Nottingham’s Victoria Centre will be closing its doors later this month.
Søstrene Grene was the brand’s first-ever UK location when it opened in 2016 on the upper floor of the shopping centre.
The family-owned Danish store is centred on the world of sisters Anna and Clara and their loves, both practical and creative.
Stock is dwindling, and many of the shelves are bare with just days to go. The final day of trading will be Sunday, September 13.
Crafts, clothing, and homewares remain with massive reductions.
A sign in the window tells customers: “We are sorry. Unfortunately, this store will be closing as the landlord is planning a redevelopment of the premises.
“Please note that as we prepare for the closure, some items may no longer be available in the store and many items will be reduced in price.
“The sisters would like to thank all customers for their support over the years.”
The closure comes amid rumours that M&S will leave its existing Albert Street location and relocate to the former House of Fraser store, with a raft of changes and the closure of surrounding shops.
Earlier this year, alternative clothing shop Damaged Society moved out of its premises to reopen directly opposite, while CeX left the Victoria Centre, relocating to Lower Parliament Street.
In June, Italian-inspired Cafe Rizzoli also closed after ten years, citing “the redevelopment of the mall” as the reason.
