Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash have given fans a glimpse of their NTA outfits ahead of their red carpet appearance. The former X Factor contestant, 36, and ex-EastEnders actor Joe, 44, recently left their Essex mansion that was dubbed Pickle Cottage for a ne abode in an undisclosed location.
Just hours before heading to the National Television Awards in London on Tuesday night, Stacey took to social media to release a series of photos where she and Joe posed in their brand new bathroom in their £2m home. Stacey was dressed in a slinky black dress and stood perched on top of the bath whilst Joe, suited and booted, sat in the tub as she likened their surroundings to a famous set from the 1983 film Scarface starring Al Pacino.
She wrote on Instagram: “Getting ready for the NTAs in the Scarface bathroom[laughing emoji] I just can’t with this room I wholeheartedly love to imagine in my head that this is exactly how the people would dress in this bathroom back in the day couldn’t help myself with these pictures. Happy Wednesday everyone crossing our fingers for tonight.”
Fans quickly weighed into the comments section to have their say, with one writing: “This bathroom is amazing you guys look amazing,” and another said: “Just needs a few bottles of champagne to complete the shot!”
Others were just quick to point out Stacey’s error in her caption, as one said: “Love the picture and good luck…. But it’s not Wednesday,” and another said: “It’s Tuesday Stace.”
Another suggested: “You need to rein-act these photos after the NTAs,” (sic) and another said: “If you don’t win the award you need a special recognition one purely for these pictures, absolutely genius.”
Stacey is up for the TV Presenter gong at the awards, but faces competition from Alison Hammond, Ant and Dec, Claudia Winkleman and David Attenborough.
Just days ago, the former Loose Women panellist explained that she is looking forward to showing fans what the interiors of her new home look like but also made it clear that she will now be a bit more guarded about what she shares on social media.
She said: “I can’t wait to properly have some days off work & show you all around… I’m not going to show the outside of the house this time around. Just for security & privacy reasons… we had some issues at pickle cottage in the end & it’s safer to just not show the building itself.
“I am so excited though to take you into the rooms & get inspiration from you all. There’s so much to think about & so many fun things to do. I will need help with this project because it’s huge. I need all of your tips, tricks, ideas!
“I’m going to really take my time and live here and work out what to do with each room because I don’t want to rush it! But I can’t tell you how excited I am to sink my teeth into this project with you all.”
