The big day is finally here, as Sony gets ready to announce the next batch of PlayStation Plus games for September 2026. After recently releasing Sniper Elite: Resistance, MLB The Show 26, Wobbly Life and Chained Echoes for PS Plus Essentials subscribers, Sony is gearing up to unveil the Extra and Premium games for the month ahead.
This month’s PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium games will be unveiled at 4.30pm BST UK time on the afternoon of September 9. Based on recent release schedules, the first few titles will be available on the same day, followed by another handful on September 15, and more on September 22.
We already know one of the games joining the PlayStation Plus Premium line-up for September following Sony’s recent State of Play event.
According to Sony, Mega Man X: Command Mission will join PS Plus Premium on the morning of September 15.
The classic Mega Man title was originally released back in 2004 for PS2 and Nintendo Gamecube.
Dino Crisis 2 and the original Ratchet & Clank are also coming to PS Plus Premium in 2026, although not as part of the September line-up.
Likewise, co-operative looter shooter Mycopunk has also been announced for PS Plus Extra, but won’t be available until October.
With FF7 Revelation spotlighted during a recent State of Play event, some fans believe Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth may join PS Plus Extra in September.
Other games tipped to appear include last year’s survival horror game Silent Hill f, which would make a good appetiser for upcoming release Silent Hill Townfall.
Horizon Forbidden West also gets plenty of nods, alongside RoboCop Rogue City, Dragon’s Dogma 2, Assassin’s Creed Shadows, and Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii.
First-party platformer Astro Bot feels like it will join at some point, alongside Stellar Blade, Atomic Heart, Hades and Resident Evil 4 Remake.
Other fans are hopeful that Gran Turismo 7 could make an appearance, while some optimists are holding out hope for Metaphor ReFantazio and Hollow Knight Silksong.
There are also an increasing number of picks for Mafia: The Old Country.
