Aldi is selling a gadget it claims is the “perfect way to add a touch of relaxation and everyday luxury” to living spaces. The supermarket, which has added the item to its iconic Special Buys range, has confirmed it works for “up to 24 hours”.
The Aroma Diffuser comes in two different colours, berry and beige, along with an affordable £9.99 price tag. It disperses essential oils and water into the air by breaking them down into a fine, breathable mist.
People often deploy these devices to get rid of bad smells and give rooms a homely feel. By dispersing naturally antibacterial oils, diffusers actively neutralise stubborn odours rather than just masking them.
They also allow people to wind down and easily transition into a state of relaxation. Circulating calming scents like lavender or cedarwood, for instance, signals the brain to lower your heart rate and release the tension of the day.

It bears an uncanny resemblance to the Slow Morning Electric Diffuser at M&S. For £35, which is more than three times the price of the Aldi gadget, shoppers can “add a touch of elegance to homes”.

At a glance, it boasts a similar curved design. But the biggest difference, other than the price, is that customers can order it to be delivered straight to their front door.
