Suriya’s 47th film titled ‘Scene’, release date announced – Telugu Cinema

Suriya in Scene

Suriya is having a strong run in 2026. He has already delivered two successful films, “Karuppu” and “Vishwanath and Sons”, and is now gearing up for the release of his third film of the year.

The actor’s 47th film has been titled “Scene”. The title reveal teaser introduces Suriya as DSP Inbaraj, a police officer with an eccentric attitude. Interestingly, a few shots in the teaser hint that his character could be visually impaired, although the teaser does not reveal much about this aspect. The ambiguity adds an interesting element to the film.

Suriya has played several police characters in his career, with “Singham” being the most popular among them. With “Scene”, he appears to be returning to the cop genre, but the teaser suggests that this will be a different take on the familiar territory.

The actor has already appeared in contrasting roles this year. He played a mass character with divine elements in “Karuppu”, followed by a classy businessman in “Vishwanath and Sons”. He now returns as a police officer in “Scene”.

Along with the title, the makers have also announced the release date. “Scene” will hit the screens on November 6, 2026. If Suriya manages to score three consecutive successes in the same year, it would be a notable achievement for a leading South Indian star in recent times.

The film is directed by Malayalam filmmaker Jithu Madhavan. Suriya and Jyothika are producing it. Nazriya Nazim is the female lead, while Sushin Shyam is composing the music.
