PT Usha: The Payyoli Express Still Powers Indian Sport—Only The Track Has Changed

Indian sports are riddled with politics, and those before, as IOA President, had their own style of functioning. Usha has been hands-on, accessible, and always receptive. Most importantly, she has handled the mess in Hockey India now with seriousness. There are harassment charges against Hockey India Secretary -General Bholanath Singh. The Sports Ministry asked the IOA to probe it. Now, a proper committee, at the behest of Usha, is in place. After all, the charges levelled by former player Asunta Lakra are serious. It may have taken time to form this probe panel, but Usha cares for the girls in India.
