Call of Duty BO7 Season 6 brings back classic Warzone event | Gaming | Entertainment

Call of Duty fans are bracing for fresh content in Black Ops 7 as spooky season slowly begins to come into focus. Arriving on September 17, Season 6 of the latest Call of Duty game will centre around a classic Warzone event.

The Haunting returns, bringing Halloween themed cosmic horrors and dark fantasy elements to the shooter. A host of gameplay staples will be transformed in time for the autumn, and there are a number of themed crossovers included one with another iconic game franchise. Gamers can expect new updates to Multiplayer, including fresh maps, and new content for Zombies, too.

Call of Duty Black Ops 7 Season 6 launch date, time and content

Season 6 will begin at 5pm BST (9am PT) for all players on Thursday, September 17. This start time and date applies across all platforms.

During Season 6, Haven’s Hollow will be transformed into Haunted Hollow thanks to Operation Grave Rot. Eldritchian tentacles loom in the sky as PoIs undergo gruesome changes. These include a burning Lumbermill and a vortex in the Mansion foyer.

A mysterious Ghost Train will also travel through Haunted Hollow, enticing players to solve the puzzle of returning it to physical reality. Some high-tier loot is the reward for doing so.

There’s also the Giant Infected limited time mode – involving a whopping 64 players split between survivors and infected. Eight players start out as zombies hunting down the survivors, who in turn are attempting to construct, arm and detonate a DNA bomb before it’s too late.

New maps and the DOOM crossover

On top of that, there’s a crossover with iconic action-shooter franchise DOOM, including themed skins, weapons and more on the free track of the event pass. The Doom Slayer will arrive as an operator, with the classic ‘Doom Guy’ skin to boot for the Premium Track.

Danny ‘Blackjack’ Li enters the game as a new Guild Operator via the Season 6 Battle Pass. As for Black Ops 7 Multiplayer, a host of new maps are coming for players to enjoy.

Two new medium 6v6 maps, Quantum and Bloodstead, are joined by TEDD Trials Maps, which introduces Zombies locations into 6v6 multiplayer modes. Roadkill, Inferno and Lost – all inspired by Zombies maps – give new options for 12-player matches.

There are also new weapons, attachments and fresh features on the Zombies and Tenshu maps. Additionally, players who have finished every Main Quest across all Round-Based Zombies maps unlock special secret rewards, including The Warden as a playable Operator
