A bloody good week for local tunes continues with the debut single from Tāmaki Makaurau’s “government funded industry plant” art-punks Model. Rattling off ominously grunty grooves while unreliably boasting “I’m incredibly well regulated”, ‘Hard to be Around‘ is the proudly misanthropic lead track to Model’s A Child Swimming EP, launching on 9th October via T & M — who incidentally are hosting a rock-solid lineup for their latest Mercury Alleyway gig this Saturday (the night before the big City Rail Link opening).
Having already impressed with 2025’s Teledevotion – Live Demos EP, Model’s first official studio tunes were produced by Madison Harrop and Jacob Rush.
