Epic has begun its theatrical journey, with attention now turning to how the film performs over the opening weekend.
On Day 1, Epic collected a net of Rs 2.10 crore in India from 1,440 shows. Its total India gross stood at Rs 2.45 crore.
Overseas, the film grossed around Rs 1 crore, taking its worldwide gross collection to approximately Rs 3.45 crore on the opening day.
The film recorded an overall occupancy of 15.88% for its Telugu 2D shows on Day 1. Morning shows registered 12.31% occupancy, while afternoon shows improved to 16.15%. Evening shows recorded 16.46% occupancy.
Written and directed by Aditya Haasan, Epic stars Anand Deverakonda, Vaishnavi Chaitanya and Sivaji in key roles.
The film follows Rohan’s personal journey as he navigates relationships, family expectations and his search for identity.
Epic is produced by Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under Fortune Four Cinemas and Sithara Entertainments.
The film was released in theatres on September 11, 2026.
