A group of celebrities including Andrew Garfield was on a plane forced to make an emergency landing this week over an unexpected stench in the cabin.
Jurassic World actor Nick Robinson, Love Island USA contestant Dylan Wrona, Adults actor Owen Thiele and Belong Together singer Mark Ambor were also on the flight.
The Delta plane was headed from Los Angeles to New York City but had to stop in Albuquerque on the way as a result of the smell.
‘We apologize to our customers on Delta Flight 958 (LAX to JFK) on Sept 9, which diverted to Albuquerque due to a smoky odor in the aircraft,’ the airline said in a statement provided to the Daily Mail.
‘The aircraft landed uneventfully and our teams worked to reaccommodate customers as quickly as possible to their final destinations,’ Delta added.
Wrona, 24, posted an airport selfie with Garfield, 43, to his Insta Stories the day his flight was grounded with the caption: ‘Our plane is here to save us.’
The Daily Mail has contacted representatives for Garfield, Wrona, Thiele and Ambor for comment.

Thiele, 29, meanwhile, uploaded a freewheeling Instagram album recounting his method of whiling away the hours while he was grounded in Albuquerque.
He managed to make a group of friends from among his fellow passengers – including Ambor, 28 – while passing time in New Mexico.
‘Andrew Garfield on my flight. If plane went down it would’ve said Andrew Garfield and others,’ observed the A Nonsense Christmas with Sabrina Carpenter guest star. ‘Nick Robinson here too. Andrew Garfield, Nick Robinson and others.’
Thiele and his new chums grabbed drinks, apparently at a restaurant at the Albuquerque International Sunport, before heading into town for a brief period.
‘In the back of a car going to Dave and busters with 9 people I’ve never met before,’ Thiele wrote in the caption of one of the selfies he shared from New Mexico.
They eventually made their way back to the airport and procured extra food from a local PF Chang’s via Uber Eats, only to subsequently realize that they ‘had to go through security again to get it in,’ Thiele noted.
Thiele then opened the bags to discover ‘the wrong food’ had been delivered to them with a fortune reading: ‘A thrilling new experience is at your fingertips.’
He also had an Instagram Boomerang taken of himself and his new pals that Ambor posted with the caption: ‘Owen immortalized our Albuquerque experience 4ever.’

When he was able to board another flight to his final destination, Thiele divulged on Instagram that Robinson was ‘sitting next to me.’
The following day, Thiele offered his fans an update on the positive side of the fiasco, writing: ‘Thank u for following along lol i love my new friends we’re all in a group chat.’
Wrona was apparently less inventive with his new batch of free time, posting: ‘Airport bar closed,’ and asking: ‘What am I supposed to do for 5.5 hours. Someone help.’
The fracas came the week Garfield fans sprang online to share their polarized reactions to a trailer to his controversial Sam Altman biopic Artificial.
Helmed by Call Me by Your Name director Luca Guadagnino, the movie is centered on the OpenAI CEO’s firing and subsequent rehiring in 2023.
‘No one asked for a Sam Altman biopic,’ groused one viewer. ‘Dude got fired for 5 days and they made a whole Oscar bait movie about it. We live in hell.’
Others took a more positive view, noting that Garfield had previously played Eduardo Saverin in David Fincher’s 2010 Mark Zuckerberg biopic The Social Network.
‘Bro gets to star in a biopic about both Facebook and Open AI,’ one viewer wrote on social media, as another effervesced: ‘Andrew Garfield in the two most pivotal and scathing films about tech in the 21st century. Legend.’
