Cards Against Humanity has found a fresh way to troll Elon Musk following its legal battle with SpaceX over a patch of Texas land. The game company is now turning the disputed property into the centerpiece of a deliberately insulting public stunt aimed at the billionaire.
The clash began after the company accused SpaceX of trespassing on and damaging the property, prompting a $15 million lawsuit in 2024.
Cards Against Humanity is taking its long-running feud with Elon Musk to a new level, announcing plans for a monument mocking the billionaire near his Starbase operation in Texas.
The party game company unveiled the provocative project in a characteristically profane statement on social media, revealing plans for what it calls the “Official Elon Musk is a Sad Little B-tch with No Friends Monument.”
The monument is tied to a parcel of land CAH reportedly owns along the U.S.-Mexico border. According to the business, the property became the center of a dispute with Musk’s SpaceX after equipment and construction materials allegedly appeared on the site.
The Company Sued SpaceX For $15 Million

The bad blood between Cards Against Humanity and Musk’s aerospace company dates back years, but their fight formally landed in court in September 2024.
In its complaint, the Chicago-based game maker accused SpaceX of trespassing, damaging its property and harming its brand. The company alleged that construction materials and equipment were stored on the parcel without permission.
CAH also claimed SpaceX covered portions of the property with gravel and brought tractors onto the site. After discovering the alleged activity, the outfit said SpaceX gave it just 12 hours to accept an offer worth less than half of the land’s value.
Cards Against Humanity rejected the proposal and instead pursued legal action. At the time, the company pledged that any money recovered through the case would be distributed among the customers who backed its original campaign.
Elon Musk Is No Stranger To Public Trolling

CAH may be threatening to turn their war of words with Musk into a public spectacle, but it would not be the first to do so against the polarizing businessman.
In November 2022, activist Alan Marling used Twitter’s San Francisco headquarters as a giant screen for insults aimed at its new owner. According to the Los Angeles Times, the stunt came weeks after Musk completed his $44 billion takeover of the social media company.
Marling projected messages including “Space Karen,” “Worthless billionaire” and “Musk’s Hellscape” across the building. Another branded him a “lawless oligarch.” The display unfolded as Twitter employees left the company after Musk’s “hardcore” workplace ultimatum. Videos quickly circulated online, while onlookers gathered outside to photograph the spectacle.
It was not Marling’s only dig at Musk. Earlier that month, he projected phrases such as “Proof Elon an idiot,” “Megaphone of Hate” and “Elon Musk: Mediocre manboy” onto the headquarters.
CAH Bought Texas Land To Fight Trump’s Border Wall

In November 2017, the company also launched its “Cards Against Humanity Saves America” holiday promotion. This time, Donald Trump was the target, as the New York politician pushed ahead with one of his signature campaign promises.
According to CBS News, the game maker said it had retained a law firm specializing in eminent domain to make construction of the border wall as costly and time-consuming as possible.
Customers who purchased the limited-edition holiday package were promised six surprises. Among them were an illustrated map of the property and a certificate documenting the company’s commitment to fighting the wall.
The unusual campaign quickly found an audience. The $15 packages were capped at 150,000 and sold out shortly after going on sale. Cards Against Humanity made no attempt to disguise the politics behind the stunt. Its website warned Trump voters that they might want to “sit this one out,” while an FAQ described the campaign as an effort to combat what the company viewed as broader problems facing the country.
Cards Against Humanity Once Sold A Donald Trump ‘Survival Kit’

That was not the beginning of CAH’s war of words against Trump, either. During the 2016 presidential race, the company sold a $25 “Donald Trump Bug-Out Bag” built around the joke that Americans would need survival supplies if the Republican candidate won the White House.
The apocalyptic kit came loaded with more than a dozen items. Buyers received food rations, a gas mask, a space blanket, a hand-crank radio, a compass, and fire-starting equipment. CAH also threw in foreign currency, seed packets, and a Mexican permanent residency application.
One particularly pointed addition was a laminated card containing Spanish phrases, including “I am a refugee.” The package even included Plato’s “Republic” and a golden locket bearing a photograph of then-President Barack Obama.
Naturally, Cards Against Humanity also worked its signature product into the gag. Each bag contained a 25-card Trump Pack filled with jokes targeting the future president. The company produced 10,000 kits, and every one of those reportedly sold out.
