Modeselektor will release new album ‘MDSLKTR’ on January 22nd.
The German electronic duo – Gernot Bronsert and Sebastian Szary – have always thrived on an ‘anything goes’ creative methodology, resulting in some truly titanic work.
Out on January 22nd, new album ‘MDSLKTR’ is a defiant step into the future, featuring 12 tracks of warped club-centric electronics.
Working from their Berlin studio, the production pairing set about stripping their ideas down to the base essentials. “We’re much more into finding out what’s left when you stop adding things and start taking things away,” they explain. “We just wanted to find the core of it. We weren’t trying to make perfect tracks. We were trying to make the most honest ones we could.”
Collaborators including Kabeaushé, Siriusmo, Miss Platnum, Tommy Cash, Lars Eidinger and Gudrun Gut contribute to the record, while close friend Johannes Wagner, aka J.Manuel, is brought on as a co-producer and writer.
New single ‘AORTA’ is a dynamic, immediate return, with its muscular nature snapping you to life from the first note. Modeselekor comment…
