Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift have a brand-new house to settle into. In March 2026, Travis Kelce closed on an expansive Ohio home. The purchase doesn’t come as a huge surprise. Frankly, fans assumed an Ohio abode was eventually in their future. Kelce is originally from Cleveland Heights and has spoken lovingly of growing up in Ohio. He and his now-wife were spotted house hunting in the area last year. What is a bit shocking is the house’s very interesting history.
Travis and Taylor own a massive Ohio lakehouse now
In March, just four months before saying “I do” in front of 1,000 guests at Madison Square Garden, Travis Kelce closed on an estate in Bratenahl, Ohio, a village on the southern shore of Lake Erie. The village boasts a small but elite population of around 1,400 and is known for its Gilded Age mansions.
The estate, known as “Moyenage,” was built in 1895 and spans roughly 21,000 square feet. It has eight bedrooms and 11 bathrooms and sits on 3.5 acres of lakefront property. Kelce laid out over $5 million to call the property home, though it’s unclear exactly how much time he and Swift will spend at the home.
The mansion’s Prohibition-era past
The storied mansion has been sitting on Lake Erie for more than a century, and it has seen many lives since then. The house’s very unexpected history during the Prohibition era has been of particular interest to fans. According to The Kansas City Star, the house’s third floor was used as a speakeasy at one time.
The home’s third floor originally housed servants’ quarters alongside a grand ballroom. During Prohibition, that same ballroom was converted into a speakeasy, complete with fanciful murals painted directly onto the walls to set the mood. The grand ballroom, however, has since been renovated. A recent renovation took the storied third floor and converted it into a game room and a home theater. A previous owner had kept the home’s original charm until they sold the property in 2019. That owner lived in the property for more than 30 years.
Figurati Construction Group is reportedly the most recent owner before Kelce. The home was extensively remodeled by the group.
Where else does the couple own property?
The new Ohio abode is not the only property Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift own. Swift brought multiple properties, dotted across the country, into the marriage. Her properties include her beloved beachfront home in Rhode Island, an apartment in New York and a property in Nashville. Swift also owns a large Beverly Hills mansion.
Kelce is tied to the Kansas City area for most of the NFL season and has invested in property there. He currently lives in a 17,000-square-foot property in Leawood, Kansas. If Kelce opts to pack in his cleats at the end of the 2026-2027 season, his connection to the city might not be as strong, though.
