Dhruv Vikram is set to collaborate with filmmaker Ramesh Varma for a new Telugu – Tamil bilingual project, tentatively titled DV4. The film is backed by Sri Neeladri Productions with Pen Movies and RV Studios, while Jayantilal Gada presents it. The makers are planning a commercial entertainer targeting audiences across both industries.
The collaboration brings together Dhruv Vikram’s growing popularity and Ramesh Varma’s experience in commercial cinema. Ramesh Varma previously directed films including Rakshasudu and Khiladi, while Dhruv earned recognition through Adithya Varma, Mahaan and Bison Kaalamaadan. The upcoming project is expected to showcase the actor in a high energy, commercially appealing role.
The makers are reportedly moving ahead with pre production, with shooting planned to commence in October. The project is expected to be mounted on a sizeable scale, although the complete cast, technical crew, final title and storyline are yet to be officially revealed. Further announcements are expected as production preparations progress.
Interestingly, DV4 has also created confusion because Dhruv Vikram’s Mythri Movie Makers project with debutant director Karan Arvind Kumar was announced under the same working title. Reports have highlighted a commitment dispute involving the earlier Ramesh Varma project, with producers approaching the Tamil Film Producers Council over the matter.
