
Nikhil Siddhartha’s “Swayambhu” is shaping up as one of the more ambitious period action dramas. Directed by Bharat Krishnamachari, the film is being mounted on a large scale as a pan-Indian project.
The makers have revealed that the film has completed 175 days of shooting, with around 2,500 VFX shots being incorporated into the final product.
A new behind-the-scenes picture shows Nikhil in his warrior avatar, giving a glimpse of the scale and setting of the film.
The lengthy production schedule and extensive VFX work indicate the technical demands of the project. The makers have now indicated that the film is nearing completion, with the release date announcement expected soon.
“Good things take time. We are almost there,” the team said in its latest update.
“Swayambhu” is produced by Bhuvan and Sreekar under Pixel Studios, with Tagore Madhu presenting the film. KK Senthil Kumar is the cinematographer, while Ravi Basrur is composing the music.
Samyuktha and Nabha Natesh play prominent roles alongside Nikhil.
