Secret Behind Mallidi Vassishta for Mokshagna

The choice of Mallidi Vassishta as the director for Mokshagna’s debut appears to have a strong personal reason behind it.

Vassishta and Mokshagna have reportedly been friends and continue to share a close bond. That comfort and familiarity are said to have played an important role in selecting him for such a crucial project.

Interestingly, the basic story idea is said to have come from Balakrishna himself, with the concept reportedly being on the lines of his iconic film Bhairava Dweepam.

The film is also expected to feature Balakrishna in a substantial role, with reports suggesting that his character could have a screen presence of around 40 minutes.

Mokshagna’s debut was initially planned with a different story under director Prasanth Varma, but the collaboration reportedly did not work out.

One of the reasons being discussed is that Varma’s approach did not make Mokshagna completely comfortable.

Suggestions involving multiple look changes and other aspects of his presentation are said to have created some discomfort, eventually prompting the team to look for another director.

That is where Vassishta emerged as a natural choice.

Having already delivered Bimbisara with Kalyan Ram and currently working on Vishwambhara with Chiranjeevi, Vassishta has experience handling large-scale fantasy and period-oriented concepts.

For Mokshagna, however, the biggest advantage could simply be trust and comfort.

For a debut film, having a childhood friend behind the camera may give him the confidence needed to make his transition into films smoother.
