Hot Toys has revealed two 1/6th-scale Wolverine figures based on Liam McIntyre’s Logan from Insomniac games’ new Wolverine video game, which arrives on PS5 next week.
Collectors will have two versions to choose from. The Deluxe Version comes with an elaborate battle-themed display base featuring Omega Red bursting through shattered rocky terrain.
His Carbonadium Tentacles can be positioned around Wolverine, giving collectors plenty of options for recreating a vicious showdown between the longtime enemies.
The Standard Edition drops the Omega Red display but otherwise features the same Wolverine figure and accessories. If you’re mainly interested in Logan himself, you aren’t losing the alternate claws, costume details, or customization options by going with the standard release.
Hot Toys shared the full rundown of the Deluxe Version: “Hot Toys is proud to elevate the action with the 1/6th scale Wolverine Collectible Figure (Deluxe Version). This version exclusively includes an epic battle-themed diorama display base.
“It features a menacing statue bust of Omega Red bursting from shattered rocky terrain, detailed with UV effects on his eyes to simulate a lethal energy surge. Sprouting from his wrists are two long wire-embedded Carbonadium Tentacles, allowing fans to pose the lethal coils whipping, constricting, or clashing head-to-head with Wolverine’s adamantium fury.
“Standing approximately 29 cm tall, Wolverine features a muscular body paired with seamless silicone arms supported by an internal metal skeleton. The figure showcases a newly developed cowled head with interchangeable components, allowing fans to swap between two eye plates and two lower faces to capture his steely focus or untamed fury.
“Additionally, fans can also swap between two sets of cowl wing flaps to reflect varying stages of battle damage. Dressed in the yellow-and-black “Battle Reborn” suit enriched with weathered textures, the look is pulled together by forearm gauntlets, a utility belt, and soft vinyl material boots.
“Accessories include five unique pairs of his lethal claws, mirroring in-game cosmetics — including Adamantium, Scarlet, Diamond, Charred Bone, and Savage Bone Claws — along with attachable translucent slashing motion effects. A carved katana ornament earned from the “Last Stand at Cold Pines” storyline mission is also included.”
Reviews for Marvel’s Wolverine have been mixed, though the overall response still leans positive. The game currently sits at 78 on Metacritic, which falls into the site’s “generally favourable” range. That also makes it the lowest-rated PlayStation Studios title of the PS5 era.
Hot Toys has already produced several figures inspired by Insomniac’s Spider-Man games, so Logan could easily receive the same treatment. Wolverine includes multiple alternate suits, giving the collectible company plenty of material for additional versions if this first release proves popular.
