Evan Roderick is officially a married man!
The 31-year-old Hallmark star tied the knot back in August, marrying his love of nearly four years, Dion Karas, in Loutraki, Greece, according to People.
Evan and Dion said “I do” on August 22nd in the city where she spent her summers growing up. They had a three-day celebration, with the ceremony taking place at her family’s hometown church and the reception at her family home.
“Over the last few years, [Loutraki] has become a very special place for both of us, and felt like the perfect spot to join our friends and family to celebrate,” Dion told People. “Last year Evan was baptized Greek Orthodox, and it has since become a place he calls his second home.”
“The most important thing to us was having our friends and family all together in this special place,” the couple said of their big day. “We really wanted to create a setting where they could experience Greece in its truest form; a classic large celebration eating, drinking, and dancing!”
Dion wore a stunning dress that she helped design with her father, Stephen Caras.
“Knowing he would always be the one to make it for me one day and actually getting to that point has been a real full-circle process,” she shared. “I wanted my dress to feel somewhat classic, with an ancient Grecian feel to it. I’ve always loved Greek history, and the style that went along with it, so incorporating that into the design not only felt personal, but so fun. Using a champagne-hued French peau de soie, it has a square neck — a little Renaissance feeling — with a diagonal drop waist, and hand-sewn drapery on the skirt.”
She later wore a second look that she also helped design with her dad and brother, Kyriakos, a two-piece set that leaned “more ‘90s in style, to really dance the night away.”
For his wedding look, Evan wore a chocolate brown linen suit that was custom designed by his father-in-law, complete with vintage brass buttons engraved with small roses.
The couple’s first dance was set to “Nothing Can Change This Love” by Sam Cooke, a song that has been part of their love story since the beginning!
“We used to have dance parties at Evan’s old apartment and this song was always in the circuit,” Dion shared. “The first time we listened to it together, we just got up to dance and loved it. It’s been our song ever since. Years later, we still do the same, and it was the song that Evan played as he proposed.”
“We loved having all of our favorite people in one place,” the newlyweds said of their wedding. “As we get older, life gets busy and it becomes harder to see all of your loved ones on a consistent basis, so we really soaked it up and took the time to appreciate all the amazing people we have in our life.”
Evan and Dion‘s wedding comes six months after the Because of Cupid star referred to her as his wife and said he was a married man. It’s possible that they have been legally married in the US since then!
The couple first started sharing photos together on social media in November 2022, though it’s unclear when they first started dating. The couple got engaged in October 2024. Dion wrote on Instagram at the time, “10/19 heart is full!! thank you for being you.”
