Aimee Osbourne has long shunned the spotlight, but she did forge her own career in music. As her sister Kelly Osbourne cuts her out of her life, here’s everything we know about the rarely-seen sibling

Aimee Osbourne has spent much of her life deliberately avoiding the spotlight that has followed her famous family, but her strained relationship with sister Kelly has now been laid bare.
Unlike her parents Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne, and younger siblings Kelly, 41, and Jack, 40, Aimee has consistently chosen a life away from the cameras. The 43-year-old is the eldest of Ozzy and Sharon’s three children and famously refused to take part in the family’s hit reality show, The Osbournes, which catapulted Kelly and Jack to fame.
But while the siblings put on a united front following their father Ozzy’s death last year, Kelly has now revealed that her relationship with Aimee remains deeply fractured.
Speaking on Paul C Brunson’s We Need To Talk podcast, Kelly was asked whether there was any hope of reconciliation with her older sister. Her response was blunt: “No.”
Kelly said she ‘respects’ Aimee, but does not want her in her life. “I respect her, I accept her, but we’re different, and that’s okay….,” she revealed. “If you’re not going to accept me for who I am, and constantly be trying to change me and say horrible things about me, and truly seem to thrive when I’m not doing well, I don’t want you in my life.”
She also accused Aimee of saying “horrible things” about her and claimed her sister appeared to “thrive” when she was struggling.
Kelly previously revealed in 2021 that she and Aimee did not speak, telling Dax Shepard’s Armchair Expert podcast: “We’re just really different. She doesn’t understand me and I don’t understand her.”
Aimee has previously spoken about their relationship too, telling The Independent in 2015, “Do we socialise? No.”
Despite their differences, the sisters were pictured together following Ozzy’s death, including at his emotional funeral in Birmingham in July 2025.
The family had rallied around Ozzy in his final days, with Sharon, Kelly, Jack and Aimee all coming together as they mourned the Black Sabbath legend. Ozzy died aged 76 on July 22, 2025, just weeks after performing his emotional final concert in Birmingham.
Aimee has always had a very different attitude towards fame from her siblings. Born in London in 1983, she moved with her family to Los Angeles and was a teenager when cameras descended on the Osbourne household to film the MTV reality series.
At 16, she chose to leave the family home rather than become part of the show. Speaking to The Independent in 2015, Aimee explained that she was still trying to work out who she was “in the chaos of family life” and questioned why she would want that experience portrayed on television.
She said: “I wanted to protect myself, my parents, my siblings, too. They were very young, very impressionable.”
Her decision was understood by her mum Sharon, who later explained why she could see things from Aimee’s point of view.
Speaking on The Talk in 2020, Sharon said the family home had effectively become a television studio, with a huge crew around them around the clock. “We had about 30 crew, 24 hours a day. The house wasn’t a home any more, it was a studio, so I get why she didn’t like it,” she said.
Aimee went on to forge her own career in music, releasing material under the name ARO. She has previously revealed that she began secretly writing music and poetry as a teenager, explaining that her parents eventually overheard her singing in her bedroom.
“I started writing, secretly, as a teenager. I also would write a lot of poetry – I was always creative in that way, less academically inclined,” she told Cleveland in 2021.
Aimee released her debut album, Vacare Adamaré, in 2020 and has continued to pursue music away from the level of fame enjoyed by the rest of her family.
Her life has remained largely out of the public eye, with reports previously suggesting she was living in Los Angeles.
Brother Jack has previously offered his own insight into why she refused to appear on the show.
Before Ozzy’s death, Jack said he and Aimee were “not close at all”, admitting that they did not have a great relationship.
He suggested that Aimee had wanted to build a career as a musician in a very different way, aspiring to the kind of “obscure, mysterious, moody” image associated with artists such as Fiona Apple and Mazzy Star.
Jack said Aimee had viewed appearing on an MTV reality show as “low-hanging fruit” and did not want to be seen as riding on the family’s coattails.
In a final act of kindness for her father, Aimee agreed to take part in a documentary about her father’s legacy, despite her reluctance to be in the public eye.
‘Ozzy Osbourne: No Escape From Now’ follows the rock star during his final years and features his family as they navigate his health struggles and preparations for his farewell performance.
The Black Sabbath legend disclosed in 2020 he had received a Parkinson’s disease diagnosis and he halted touring in 2023 following major spinal operations. He suffered a fall at home in 2019 which worsened injuries from a nearly fatal quad bike accident in 2003.
“I went smack,” Ozzy recalls of the fall, while daughter Kelly states bluntly in the documentary “he had broken his f**king neck.”
Aimee reflects on how her father’s mishap in 2019 proved transformative. She says: “He was in hospital for weeks. To fall like that and not be able to bounce back like he had in the past, and then having to cancel the tour – that was his biggest heartbreak.”
She also made a rare appearance at the 2026 Grammys in February, joining her family to pay tribute to her legendary dad. Aimee was pictured sat at a table alongside Wes Leavins, the leading man of alternative rock band Brigitte Calls Me Baby, along with her brother Jack and mum Sharon. The Grammys paid tribute to Ozzy during the In Memoriam segment.
