Merry Hill has announced the opening date for its much-anticipated new baby shop.

Having first revealed details of a new ebebek back in August, the Brierley Hill centre has now confirmed a grand opening day with goody bags, face painting, balloon modelling and spin the wheel competitions.

Described by some parents as ‘the new Mothercare‘, this will be the first ebebek store outside of Greater London.

It’s taking over the old Peacocks store, a huge 10,000 square foot space on the Lower Mall, next to ASDA.

The new shop will offer soon-to-be parents and their families an extensive range of baby and parenting essentials, including car seats, pushchairs, nursery furniture, clothing, and toys.

Popular on TikTok, ebebek is said to utilise a ‘Babyology philosophy – the science of understanding and caring for babies‘.

Staff are known as ‘Babyologists’ who are passionate and knowledgeable about babies, and happy to share their expertise with parents every step of the way from pregnancy to toddlerhood.

Originally from Turkey, the brand stocks everything from Graco, Nuna and Cosatto to Child’s Farm, Johnson’s Baby and Tommee Tippee.

When is ebebek opening at Merry Hill?

The new baby store is set to open on Friday September 18.

The doors will open from 10am and there will be treats for the first customers.

A Merry Hill spokesman said: “This Friday ebebek.UK opens its doors at Merry Hill.

“Discover everything you need for your baby, all in one place! Plus, there’ll be goody bags (whilst stocks last), balloon modelling, face painting with purchase, spin the wheel and so much more.

“Join them from 10am for all the grand launch action.”

Faruk Giray, UK Country Director at ebebek, said: “The West Midlands represents a key region for us, with a strong and growing community of parents seeking trusted baby and parenting products.

“Merry Hill offers an excellent opportunity to connect with these families in a well-established retail destination, and we look forward to becoming part of the local community.”
