Boots has launched three brand new beauty advent calendars for 2026 and Mirror’s senior beauty writer Faith unboxed all of them to see which of them is worth your money

It might feel frighteningly early to start thinking about Christmas, but as any beauty fan knows, September is the time when everywhere launches their must-have advent calendars. As a beauty writer, I get to check out some of the best launches every year, and 2026 is already shaping up to be a very merry Christmas indeed for beauty fans.
One retailer who always gets it right is Boots, and this year it’s launched three brand new advent calendars which suit all budgets and still offer some of the best brands and variety I’ve spotted so far. To help you decide which one to spend your money on, I unboxed all three of them to check out the contents and their value, so you can snap them up before they sell out.

Boots 2026 beauty advent calendars
This year, Boots’ beauty advent calendars run the gamut from budget friendly to a bit of splurge, but still remain some of the most affordable calendars around this year. Plus, they each have enough variety that you could either pick just one that suits your beauty needs, or nab two or all three of them without ever doubling up on products. The three advent calendars new to Boots for 2026 at a glance are:
Boots 24 Days of Skin Skincare Advent Calendar – £70, worth £303.56
Ideal if you want something budget friendly, or if you ride or die by your skincare routine. This is full of trendy K-beauty products and items that’ll suit all skincare concerns from hydration and glow to anti-ageing, with brands like Anua, Byoma, Prai, Mediheal and RoC.
Boots 12 Days of Scent Fragrance Advent Calendar – £90, worth £356.52
For perfume lovers, this fragrance advent calendar lets you try out multiple different scents from brands like Lancome, Kayali and Marc Jacobs, includes a recent launch from Sabrina Carpenter, and has an exclusive to Boots launch from Balmain. There’s also a NEOM candle and a full size Givenchy L’interdit Eau de Parfum inside.
Boots 24 Days of Luxe Beauty Advent Calendar – £150, worth £709.59
Packed with elevated brands like Laura Mercier, MAC, Iconic London, Clinique, Huda, NARS and plenty more. Great if you want a broad range of makeup, skincare, bodycare and a calendar that feels luxe without a hefty price tag.
Boots 24 Days of Skin Skincare Advent Calendar
2026 has undoubtedly been the year of skincare, from the ever-increasing love of Korean beauty and glass skin, to swapping a full face of glam for nothing but moisturiser and lip balm in the pursuit of a clean girl aesthetic. And to continue this ever-growing love of skincare routines, the Boots 24 Days of Skin Skincare Advent Calendar is a must.
More often than not, beauty calendars are filled with travel sized products. These are great for testing something out, but as you know with skincare, it doesn’t really give you enough to see a great change in your skin.
So, I was pleasantly surprised by just how many of the products inside were full-size items. A whopping 21 out of the 24 products are full size, with cleansers, moisturisers, serums, eye creams and everything else your skin could possibly need.
The brands are a great range of affordable, like The Inkey List, Byoma and E.l.f., up to more high end like RoC, and they really do cover every type of skin concern. You have anti-ageing eye creams, hydrating moisturisers, complexion-balancing toners and cleansers for all skin types, making this a great calendar if you really want to get your skincare routine right for heading into 2027.
Boots 12 Days of Scent Fragrance Advent Calendar
Whilst most of us have a signature scent that we’ve come to know and love, true perfume fans know that there’s nothing better than mixing things up once in a while. Whether it’s finding something you can wear every day, a deeper fragrance for evenings, or just something new for a new season or special occasion, this Boots 12 Days of Scent Fragrance Advent Calendar lets you try out 14 different perfumes from a huge variety of brands.
There’s big names like Marc Jacobs, Kayali, Valentino and Lancome, as well as some celeb favourites from Sabrina Carpenter and Billie Eilish. You also get some lesser-known (but still just as fab) brands like Floral Street, Tobba and CRA-YON.
Most of the perfumes are small sample sizes ranging from 2.5ml to 10ml, which is perfect for testing them out or keeping in your handbag for using on the go, but the fuller-size products are a little thin on the ground. You do get a large 50ml Floral Street Sweet Almond Blossom Body Mist and a 75g NEOM Wellbeing Happiness Travel Candle, and the calendar culminates in a full-size 35ml bottle of Givenchy L’interdit Eau de Parfum which is worth £72 on its own.
This is fantastic if you want to try a whole host of different perfumes without taking up too much space, but if you’re looking for a few more full-size products you’ll need to splurge a little more. For example, The Fragrance Shop’s Women’s Advent Calendar 2026 is £150, but gives you 25 perfumes, including six which are 30ml or above plus a voucher to use at TFS.
Boots 24 Days of Luxe Beauty Advent Calendar
If I had to choose just one, the Boots 24 Days of Luxe Beauty Advent Calendar would be the one I pick. It is of course pricier, but at just £150 but worth over £700, this is one of the best valued advent calendars I’ve seen launched so far this year, especially if you don’t want to splash out two or three hundred pounds.
There’s skincare, makeup, haircare, body care, fragrances, making it super well-rounded and balanced, and nothing feels like a throw away or filler product as you so often get in advent calendars. The range of brands feels very premium, with brands like NARS, MAC, Clinique, Huda, Laura Mercier and Laneige all inside, and not only do you get an impressive 27 different products, but 19 of them are full size.
Meanwhile, the smaller products are actually ideal choices for travelling with, such as a mini Laura Mercier Setting Powder, a Milk Makeup Hydro Grip Primer Mini, and a Floral Street Wild Vanilla Orchid Eau de Parfum.
I was genuinely excited opening each drawer (even though I had to do them all in one sitting for the purposes of this review), which to me is the mark of a great calendar. Overall, this one would 100% be my top pick from Boots!
