Prime Video has released a trailer for their upcoming horror comedy series Prefiero la Muerte aka I Would Rather Die, starring Diego Bernal as the lead character, Archie.
The series is directed by Sebastian Sarinana, who previously directed the short film Love and Faith, as well as the shows Vgly, The War Next-Door, and The Manny. Sarinana created and co-wrote the series with Cynthia Fernández Trejo, Carlos González Sariñana, and Fernando Rasé.
The show’s synopsis reads, “after being bitten by a zombie at the corner mini-mart, Archie, the high school loser, along with his goth-girl best friend and his platonic crush, try to stop an evil plot that could unleash the apocalypse to Mendoza, the unremarkable provincial Mexican town where they live.
“A pyramid scheme selling vitamins, a group of hardcore religious ladies, and a school bully are just some of the things they must face in their quest to figure out what the hell is happening.”
This looks like kind of a fun coming-of-age/zombie show reminiscent of the quirky 2013 film Warm Bodies. Check out the trailer below, and watch I Would Rather Die on Prime Video on October 2nd.
