Ahead of the season 52 premiere, Saturday Night Live has just announced two new additions to the cast!
Grace Reiter and Saidah Belo-Osagie will join the NBC weekly variety show, according to Variety.
“WELCOME TO THE CAST!” the SNL Instagram account shared on Wednesday (September 16).
Grace is a stand-up comedian and actor who went viral for her “The Hunger Games (but better)” parody video on YouTube. She has also starred in the HBO comedy The Chair Company and will star in the upcoming American High mockumentary comedy series Minimum Wage.
Saidah is a filmmaker and comedian who created the event series Afrobeats Futura and her solo show, Saidah Gets Closure. In 2020, she wrote and directed the short film Tinge.
Grace and Saidah are filling two open spots on the cast after Bowen Yang exited SNL mid-season 51, and Chloe Fineman left after the season.
The rest of the cast will be returning for season 51, including longtime cast members Kenan Thompson, Michael Che, Colin Jost, and Mikey Day, as well as newer stars Ben Marshall, Tommy Brennan, Jeremy Culhane, Kam Patterson, and Veronika Slowikowska, plus Andrew Dismukes, Marcello Hernandez, James Austin Johnson, Sarah Sherman, Ashley Padilla, and Jane Wickline.
Earlier this month, it was also announced that Please Don’t Destroy’s Martin Herlihy is leaving Saturday Night Live and will no longer serve as a write on the show.
