There were doubts about whether Vijay Deverakonda might pull out of his upcoming film “Ranabaali” after Superstar Rajinikanth’s “Jailer 2” was announced for October 15, a day before his movie. However, the team has once again confirmed that “Ranabaali” will hit the screens on October 16 as announced. There will be no change in the release date.
The makers say they chose the date after extensive deliberation and calculations. While “Ranabaali” is being promoted as a pan-Indian film, the primary focus is the Telugu market rather than Tamil Nadu. They also believe the Dasara holiday period can accommodate two or three releases.
The teaser, released recently, received a positive response. The team is confident about the film’s content, describing it as a unique and patriotic story. The promotional campaign is now set to begin in full swing.
Vijay Deverakonda is in a crucial phase of his career and needs a solid success. It has been a while since one of his films achieved blockbuster status. Despite having considerable star appeal, his recent film choices have not consistently delivered the expected results. “Ranabaali” is therefore an important film for him as he looks to get his career back on track.
“Ranabaali” is directed by Rahul Sankrityan and produced by Mythri Movie Makers. Rashmika Mandanna plays Vijay Deverakonda’s wife in the film. It is their first film together to release after their marriage.
