Former staff of Stoodi Bakers are set to launch new weekly parties in the same venue that hosted the original iconic Birmingham club nights.
Yan Miruszenko is to return to 192 Broad Street for STOODIZ, a club night with his signature laser shows and former Stoodi Bakers DJs.
The weekly club night launches on Saturday, September 26, prompting the owner of the Stoodi Bakers name to confirm it is not a return of the club night, but a separate event.

Stoodi Bakers closed in the mid-2000s, putting an end to its famous party nights in the city centre.
Now the Cyclone Club gentlemen’s bar, the Broad Street venue has been ‘renovated like it was in the beginning’ according to STOODIZ.
It said: “Coming soon. To the venue where it all started.”
Yan confirmed to BirminghamLive that he did not have copyright covering the Stoodi Bakers name and the events would be independent.
He said the venue was being transformed to look more like it did in the 1990s and familiar faces and a light show would be reminiscent of the original nights.
The Stoodi Bakers social media account – on which reunions and special events remembering the club are promoted – published an ‘official clarification statement’ distancing the brand from the STOODIZ nights.
It told its 2,300 followers on Facebook: “We have become aware of an event being promoted at the former home of Stoodi Bakers and have received enquiries from members of the public regarding whether this event is connected with us.
“For the avoidance of any doubt, Stoodi Bakers has no involvement, association, endorsement or connection whatsoever with this event
“We understand certain individuals who were previously associated with Stoodi Bakers, including former DJs and staff, may be involved with, appearing at or promoting this event.
“Their involvement is entirely independent and should not be interpreted as representing, being endorsed by, or having any official connection with Stoodi Bakers.
“Given the use of the former venue, the involvement of individuals historically associated with Stoodi Bakers, the manner in which the event is being promoted and the potential for confusion amongst former customers and followers, we are formally documenting and preserving relevant evidence and have sought professional advice concerning the protection of the Stoodi Bakers name, brand, goodwill and associated intellectual property rights.
“All of our rights in respect of the Stoodi Bakers name, brand and goodwill are expressly reserved.
“We have spent many years building the reputation and goodwill associated with Stoodi Bakers and will take such steps as are considered necessary to protect those rights and to prevent any misunderstanding regarding events with which Stoodi Bakers is associated.
“To be absolutely clear: This is NOT a Stoodi Bakers event. It is NOT a continuation or relaunch of Stoodi Bakers.
“It is NOT organised, promoted, authorised or endorsed by Stoodi Bakers. We are issuing this statement solely to ensure our customers, followers and the wider public are clear as to the position.
“Thank you for your continued support, STOODI BAKERS, All rights reserved.”
STOODIZ launches its weekly club nights on Saturday, September 26 and will host events every Saturday until the end of the year.
