Hayden Panettiere‘s on-again, off-again boyfriend Brian Hickerson is sharing some rare comments, a month after her death.
On Wednesday (September 16), Brian, 36, was approached by a photographer outside of a gas station in Greenville, South Carolina, as seen in footage obtained by E! News.
When asked how he’s holding up, Brian fired back, “How do you think I’m doing?”
The photographer then extended condolences, and Brian replied, “Appreciate it. That’s all I got for you, man.”
The tense interaction comes just days after Brian was detained by police following in a reported assault at a bar. His brother Zach Hickerson, who was also present when Hayden died last month, was arrested following the incident.
Brian was ultimately released without charges while Zach was charged with disorderly conduct.
Hayden passed away at the age of 36 on August 16, and authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding her passing.
