ITV viewers saw one of the chasers suffer a huge blunder on the quiz show as they went up against four players.

Paul ‘The Sinnerman’ Sinha was left red-faced over his answer in an awkward moment on The Chase.
During the latest episode, Bradley Walsh welcomed four players to the ITV show in a bid to win some cash. In the instalment, viewers saw the first two contestants successfully make it back to the table and earn a spot in the final chase.
When it was time for the third person, Mohammed, to face Paul, it seemed as though one question left him red-faced as he confessed it was the ‘worst answer’ he’s ever given since joining the programme back in 2011.
Bradley asked, “What occurs on Halloween approximately every 19 years? The options were either autumn equinox, a full moon or Friday the 13th, with the player choosing a full moon.
As Mohammed shared that it couldn’t be Friday 13th, as that wasn’t when Halloween fell, and he hadn’t heard of the autumn equinox, which only left him with the option to put a full moon as his answer.
However, it seemed as though Paul had ‘fallen into the trap’, as Bradley said he’d made an ‘awful blunder’ choosing Friday 13th as the answer. In the end, Mohammed got the answer correct, with Paul picking the wrong one.
Speaking about his mistake, he commented: “This is the worst answer I’ve ever produced on The Chase. Literally, the worst answer I’ve ever produced.”
Although this wasn’t the only mishap The Sinnerman had during the show, as he answered several questions wrong, which he made remarks on throughout. Mohammed’s final question was regarding Romesh Ranganathan’s ITV show, Parents’ Evening.
As the contestant answered correctly and made it through to the final chase, Paul joked he would be taking over from his position on the show. He said: “Romesh Ranganathan, a former maths teacher from Crawley. He became a successful comedian and TV host.
“It was announced in 2025 that he was taking over from Paul Sinha as the new chaser, after a series of spectacularly wrong answers in one game. Mohammed got back, and that’s all that’s important.
In the end, it was Phil, Andrea and Mohammed in the final chase as they were playing for a total of £12,000. With a three-step head start, they were given two minutes to try to set a target for Paul to beat.
The team managed to answer 11 questions right, which gave the quizzer a target of 14 to try and beat. After a nail-biting final chase, Paul managed to catch the team with 45 seconds left on the clock.
