With a remake on the way from John Wick director Chad Stahelski and former Man of Steel star Henry Cavill, Titan Comics is marking the 40th anniversary of the cult classic action fantasy Highlander by going back to the very beginning with a comic book adaptation of the original screenplay from writer Gregory Widen.
Launching in December, the four-issue series sees Widen adapting his original story for the 1986 film, with art from Szymon Kudranski, and promises to tell the story of the immortal Connor MacLeod and his centuries-long battle to claim the mysterious prize in a way we have never seen before.
Highlander: The Original Screenplay #1 will go on sale with a main cover from Gerardo Zaffino, and while that’s being kept under wraps for the moment, Titan has now unveiled the first issue’s variant covers from Lee Binding, Szymon Kudranski, Claudia Gironi, and the original movie artwork from Brian Bysouth; check them out here…
