This beloved Australian TV series, about the Twist family and the resident ghosts of their lighthouse home, comes from the same school as British shows such as Rentaghost or Woof!, but with an extra helping of weirdness. It taps into children’s sense of adventure, with added spooks and magic, and has a very quirky sense of humour. One legendary episode is titled ‘Skeleton on the Dunny’, which tells you all you need to know about the kind of comedy the show regularly dealt in.
