Brad Pitt’s upcoming Cliff Booth movie has dropped its first look, but with a catch. Fans can watch the film’s trailer before its official global debut.
The first official trailer for The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth is currently playing exclusively in theaters. The movie has not released a trailer globally yet. So, for now, the only way to get the preview is on the big screen.
The news of the film’s trailer playing in theaters comes from the cast members themselves. Actor Zedrick Restauro took to Instagram to share a sneak peek into the trailer along with the caption, “If you’re seeing Resident Evil make sure you’re early enough for the trailers to see @jaybeetadena @mattgr00ve in new Cliff Booth trailer.” Fellow castmates Matt Groove and JB Tadena further confirmed the news by resharing the post.
According to a recent report by What’s on Netflix, the trailer will be released on Monday, September 21. However, the streamer hasn’t made any official confirmation regarding the release.
Brad Pitt’s Cliff Booth return raises plenty of questions about the OUATIH spinoff
The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth is a spin-off and a standalone sequel to Quentin Tarantino’s 2019 movie Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. The American filmmaker has penned the script with David Fincher as director.
Brad Pitt reprises his role as the titular stuntman while Timothy Olyphant returns as Western star James Stacy. The movie is set in 1977 Los Angeles, eight years after the events of OUATIH. As the title suggests, it follows Cliff Booth’s escapades as a Hollywood “studio fixer.”
In addition to Pitt’s return as Cliff, Tarantino will also publish a novelization of the movie, titled The Adventures of Cliff Booth, on December 8, 2026. The novel’s official logline reads, “The Swinging Sixties are long gone — but Clifford Booth keeps on keeping on…War hero, stuntman, bartender, cinema projectionist…with the occasional “clandestine services” for his friends…”
The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth arrives exclusively in IMAX on November 25, 2026. The film will debut on Netflix on December 23.
