Prabhas’s “Fauji” has reportedly been postponed indefinitely, although the production house has not made any official announcement yet. However, the industry is already treating the postponement as a given, and two films have announced their release dates for December 4.
Now, Nithiin’s “Alias Rukmini” is also eyeing the same weekend. According to industry buzz, the film is targeting a December 3 release, provided the shooting is completed by next month.
Produced by Deepthi Ghanta, sister of actor Nani, “Alias Rukmini” is directed by Murali Kanth, who previously helmed “Dandoraa”. The makers are yet to announce the name of the female lead.
Nithiin plays a pulp fiction writer in the film and is said to be attempting a complete image makeover with this project.
Meanwhile, “Fauji” is now expected to arrive in 2027. December 4 already has Naga Chaitanya’s “Vrushakarma” and Dulquer Salmaan’s “Sri Sri” listed for release, making the first weekend of December a busy one for Telugu cinema.
