Witch Hat Atelier is my favorite new anime series of 2026. It’s beautifully animated, features a unique magic system, and even has dubbing that elevates the world-building. If you haven’t already seen it, I highly recommend grabbing a Crunchyroll subscription to stream all 13 episodes.
Like any popular anime series, however, Witch Hat Atelier got its start as a really popular manga series. The art style of Kamome Shirahama is absolutely stunning and blends classic manga techniques with modern comic book illustration. If you’ve never read manga before, this is a great place to start. And with the most recent discount at Amazon, now is a good time to snag the first six volumes for cheap.

The first Witch Hat Atelier box set includes the first six volumes, which is only a portion of the ongoing series. There are currently only 14 volumes available in English, so this set collects almost half of what’s available right now.
For those who have already seen the anime, you should already be familiar with the content of the first four volumes. Episode 13 concluded the first season by adapting the story up through the end of volume 4, meaning volumes 5 and 6 will continue the story where the show left off. Like any adaptation, there are plenty of extras you’ll get to experience by reading the manga that wasn’t shown in the anime.
When Is Witch Hat Atelier Season 2 Coming Out?
With season 1 all wrapped up, you may be wondering just how long you’ll actually have to wait for season 2 of Witch Hat Atelier to come to Crunchyroll. Unfortunately, a release date has not yet been announced. What we have gotten is an official teaser trailer for season 2 at this year’s Anime Expo.
