After Sardar 2 disaster, Karthi shifts focus to Telugu film – Telugu Cinema

Karthi

Karthi has suffered the biggest setback of his career with “Sardar 2”. The film opened to poor numbers despite being a sequel to a successful film and witnessed a sharp drop from the second day. Its poor run has come as a major disappointment for Karthi and his team.

Interestingly, Soori’s film, which released alongside “Sardar 2”, went on to emerge as a near Rs 100 crore grosser, making the contrast in their theatrical performances even more noticeable.

Karthi is currently working on multiple projects. He has already signed “HIT 4” with producer and actor Nani, but the film is yet to be launched.

Before that, Karthi is focusing on his Telugu film with Kalyan Shankar, the director of “MAD”. The comedy entertainer is being produced by Naga Vamsi, with Meenakshi Chaudhary as the female lead.

here were reports that Karthi had asked for several changes to the script after completing the first schedule, leading to speculation that the project could be shelved. However, those reports have turned out to be untrue. The actor has resumed shooting and has already completed a substantial portion of the film.

After the experience of “Sardar 2”, Karthi appears to be focusing on projects with stronger scripts and wider appeal. The Telugu comedy is now one of his key upcoming films.
