Furious follows an NYPD-officer-turned-FBI-agent (Rossum) who makes the career switch after experiencing some horrific personal trauma. In a pencil-pushing position at the FBI, she’s drawn into a case involving a female serial killer (Lola Petticrew) who seems to be targeting men connected to sex crimes and sex trafficking.
Rossum is phenomenal as our flawed heroine, and Petticrew is truly terrifying as our wig-donning murderess. It’s clear that each of these characters has a chaotic and complicated past, making them intensely interesting in this cat-and-mouse story. The show feels like Killing Eve (minus the romantic relationship between detective and killer). And with plenty of dark twists, I’m fully invested in the season.
