Star Wars nearly had its first on-screen “sexual” experience between Osha and Qimir in a scrapped story. The planned storyline would have taken their connection beyond the master-and-apprentice relationship seen in the first season.
According to Knight Edge Media, The Acolyte writers had developed outlines for potential second and third seasons. The writers’ room created a Season 2 and 3 bible, although the episodes were never fully written.
The second season would have continued after Osha joined Qimir on the dark side. While Darth Plagueis wanted Qimir to hand Osha over to him, Qimir reportedly refused, leading to a brutal confrontation between the two where Qimir was beaten to within an inch of his life.
The planned storyline would have explored that bond through a Force-based experience involving physical and spiritual intimacy. Osha and Qimir were to share a Force deprivation pool after she saved him from the brutal confrontation with Darth Plagueis.
This event would have opened the door for their relationship to take a new direction following the events of the first season.
Osha & Qimir’s connection could reshape what comes next for Star Wars
Osha and Qimir developed a complicated bond that went beyond the usual Jedi-versus-Sith conflict. Osha became increasingly drawn to Qimir as she questioned the beliefs she had followed for years. Their evolving relationship could have given both characters a larger role in the planned story and influenced where their journeys took the wider Star Wars narrative.
The NSFW sequence would have remained non-explicit under Disney’s approach to the franchise. Instead, their spirits or consciousness would reportedly have become one with the Force in a sensual way. The concept was compared to the connection shown between characters in James Cameron’s 2009 Avatar.
This moment could have taken Osha and Qimir’s relationship into a new phase within the planned story. Their shared Force experience would have connected them on a deeper level than their previous roles.
The idea was designed to support the characters’ stories beyond the second season. Their changed relationship could then have carried into the planned third season, giving their story a larger role in the future of Star Wars.
However, those ideas never reached the screen. The Acolyte was canceled after its first season, leaving the storyline unused. The proposed sequence therefore remains part of the show’s unproduced plans.
