What Is ‘The Beast’ About?

For The Beast, director Harlin is returning to his Die Hard 2 roots for nonstop, ass-kicking action, with the iconic, expletive-spewing Jackson we know and love at the forefront as Commander in Chief.

From screenwriter Umair Aleem, who was tapped to co-write Jason Statham’s The Beekeeper sequel, The Beast is a propulsive thriller that sees the U.S. President (Jackson) careening away from an attack, protected only by — and also trapped in — the presidential limousine, known as The Beast. An unidentified hostile militia has set its sights on enacting a coup, forcing the president to flee with his injured Secret Service agent, Taft (Joel Kinnaman), in tow, in order to reunite with his wife and save the world. The movie also stars Guy Burnet (Oppenheimer) and Eoin Macken (Resident Evil: The Final Chapter).
