Atlanta duo EarthGang have shared their new single ‘Cool Me Down’.
Out now, the release coincides with the beginning of New York Climate Week, and it is undoubtedly the first hip-hop single to credit ‘Nature’ as the co-writer – meaning the funds from the release are donated to eco-friendly causes forever.
A cause close to their heart, the duo will support the track by a speaking and playback session at the United Nations Headquarters in New York as part of the UN General Assembly.
Ou now, ‘Cool Me Down’ tackles the climate crisis and it’s palpable impact on our lives – a cry of desperation, the track is both praise and protest.
“Cool Me Down is electric and hypnotizing. Every sound and word was intentionally chosen to add to the rhythm of nature and enjoyment of life,” explain EarthGang. “Also, saving the planet should be fun.”
“Nature has always been a part of music and music is the most powerful tool we have in connecting people around a common idea. And that idea is that climate justice is our future.”
