The two establishments will compete against Stoke-on-Trent favourites to be named Regional Restaurant of the Year.

Two Birmingham restaurants are in the running to be named Regional Restaurant of the Year at an awards ceremony dubbed ‘the Curry Oscars’.
Tikka Town restaurant in Castle Bromwich is going up against Sutton Coldfield’s The Royale Dosa and two Stoke-on-Trent restaurants in the annual Asian Restaurant and Takeaway Awards (ARTA).
The ARTAs will be announced at a special awards ceremony in London on Monday, October 12 hosted by BBC broadcaster Samantha Simmonds and comedian Paul Sinha.

The two Stoke-on-Trent restaurants up for the gong are Alessi Indian Restaurant and Bar in Audley, and Namaste Dine in Longton.
ARTA says that all four restaurants are ‘outstanding’ and that given 1,250 restaurants and takeaways were put forward for the gongs, being a finalist is already a ‘significant achievement’.
The finalists were chosen taking in consideration customer feedback, verified customer reviews, Google and TripAdvisor reviews, official Food Hygiene Ratings and more.
They will now go before judges for final selections.
Tikka Town, Castle Bromwich
Situated on Manor Park Road, Tikka Town describes its offering as ‘fine-casual’.
It says it ‘reinterprets age-old Indian traditions’ to ‘toast the old times and celebrate the new’.
Among its Indian dishes are Murgh Tikka Anghara and Rajma Lifafa.
Sundays it has ‘tawa nights’, serving up sharing platters for two people for £28.95.
It has 4.6 stars out of five on Google Reviews, with reviewer Michael Clarke celebrating its ‘great tasting food cooked to perfection’.
He added: “The service was nothing short of fantastic. No rush, very polite and friendly.”
Another reviewer recommended Sunday nights, writing: “The Sunday tawa deal is an absolute bargain.
“Lots of curry, meat and triple carbs to see you into the next week.
“A very cosy spot with an attentive team. BYOB.”

The Royale Dosa
On Kings Road in Sutton Coldfield, The Royale Dosa describes itself as a ‘gateway to the flavours of South and North India’.
The restaurant has an impressive 4.8 stars out of five on Google Reviews and promises every diner will be treated like royalty.
Siddu Mayur said it served up dishes worth heading into Sutton Coldfield for.
He wrote: “Really enjoyed my visit to The Royale Dosa. The food was tasty and the crispy masala dosa was the highlight – definitely worth travelling 30 minutes for!
“The service was extraordinary, with friendly staff who took our order quickly and served the food promptly.
“The restaurant was clean and hygienic, and the roadside location makes it easily accessible.
“Overall, a great experience with delicious food and excellent service. I would happily visit again!”

What did ARTA say about Birmingham restaurants?
