Big night last night for Robert De Niro and Martin Scorsese.
French president Emmanuel Macron — in town for the UN — awarded them each the Legion de Honneur for filmmaking at a ceremony at the French cultural residence.
In the crowd: Leonardo Di Caprio, who’s made several movies with Scorsese and a couple with De Niro, and both.
The pair was awarded for their their “commitment in favor of cinema and its preservation.”
