The ladies are not staying silent any longer.
One week after Aaron Rodgers‘ ex-fiancée, Shailene Woodley, laughed off his comments about their relationship, and the same day the quarterback’s ex-girlfriend, Mallory Edens, seemingly called him out on Instagram, Danica Patrick has broken her social media silence and is proving to everyone that she is unbothered by A-Rod’s remarks about her.
Just about everyone has heard what Rodgers said about his exes when he was a guest on the Not Just Football with Cam Heyward podcast released on Sept. 10, and of course, word got around to the women he spoke about as well. During the podcast with his teammate, the Pittsburgh Steelers signal caller aired out some alleged dirty laundry about his past with Woodley and Patrick.
According to Rodgers, “I date Shailene, I propose, and she says ‘yes.’ She maybe felt like she was forced to make a decision. She could have said no. But not a couple of days after that, she tells me before we get married like, ‘I got to go f*** this guy.’”
He also talked about the former NASCAR driver, whom he split from in 2022, claiming, “I dated Danica. She had just retired. She was depressed and not fun to be around. But I didn’t leave her because I was trying to be there and be a good partner. Then it was going a certain direction, obviously. There was no intimacy; there was nothing. And I’m buying a house in Malibu, and she goes, ‘Would you want to buy it together?’ and I said ‘no.’
“She tells a story that, ‘I was so blindsided by getting left by you, and he leaves a trail of blood around.’ I’m like, what are you talking about? That is not what happened by any means.”
While some fans were hoping Patrick was going to address the football player’s comments directly, she took a different route. Instead, she posted several photos from her travels abroad with some friends and her new beau. In the snaps, she appears to be living her best life as she is seen dancing, smiling, and looking genuinely happy.
Perhaps the whole post is a shot at Rodgers’ talk of her “depression.”
It should be noted that while the quarterback is talking about how things weren’t so great when they were together, following their breakup, he did say their “relationship was great” and that one of the best days of his life happened when they were together.
On an episode of Onnit founder Aubrey Marcus’ podcast in August 2022, Rodgers shared that his ayahuasca journey began with Patrick in South America, explaining, “I was dating Danica [at the time] and that relationship was great for me because she is on her own journey, and spirituality is important to her. We both were finding our way, learning about different things, practicing meditation techniques. So Danica and I planned a trip down to Peru with some friends to go do it [ayahuasca ceremony].
“My intention the first night going in was I want to feel what pure love is. That was my intention and I did … I had a magical experience with the sensation of feeling 100 different hands on my body imparting a blessing of love and forgiveness for myself and gratitude for this life from what seemed to be my ancestors.”
Following the reactions from Rodgers’ exes, many are wondering if Olivia Munn or Blu of Earth will address Rodgers’ relationship comments in the near future. Stay tuned.
