Taking to its ‘X’ handle, FAIMA wrote, “24-36 hour continuous duties, severe sleep deprivation, crushing workloads and denial of adequate leave–even when residents are sick–must never be normalised as medical training. Residents are doctors, not machines. Illness requires rest and treatment, not pressure to continue working.
