Mary Beth Barone is poking some fun at those Joe Alwyn dating rumors!
For the past several days, the 35-year-old comedian and the 35-year-old Conversations With Friends actor have both spotted out and about together in New York City, leading many to wonder if they might be dating.
Then on Wednesday (September 22), Mary Beth addressed the rumors head-on, revealing that she and Joe will be starring in a new rom-com together!
“hard launching this project,” Mary Beth cheekily captioned her Instagram post, which included a screenshot of an article announcing her and Joe‘s new movie titled Still We Met.
She also included a silly selfie with Joe inside of a restaurant along with a solo shot of Joe giving the “rock on” sign while sticking his tongue out.
Deadline reports that the movie “follows a young woman at a crossroads who meets a charming British stranger and spends one unforgettable night wandering New York, revealing more than either intended.”
Still We Met is Mary Beth‘s feature film acting debut and she also wrote the script, marking her feature screenwriting debut as well. The movie will be directed by Zackary Drucker. Lena Dunham has joined the film’s team as an executive producer.
Those rumors that Joe is dating a different actress might still be true!
